Alaska Airlines Ski Perks Return, With Extra Breathing Room at Sun Peaks
Sun Peaks lets eligible Alaska Airlines arrivals use a free ticket the next day. The 2026-27 offer has blackout dates and a Kelowna airport requirement.

Alaska Airlines' winter ski offers include a useful timing allowance at Sun Peaks: eligible passengers flying into Kelowna can use their complimentary Alpine lift ticket on arrival day or the following day. That extra day makes the offer easier to consider when a flight and ground transfer would otherwise consume most of the skiing afternoon.
The resort lists the promotion for November 21, 2026, through March 31, 2027. Passengers must bring their Alaska Airlines boarding pass to Guest Services in the Village Day Lodge. The offer also includes 20% off additional lift-ticket days during the stay, giving travelers a reason to compare the whole visit rather than only the first ticket.
Two blackout periods are explicit: December 26 through January 3 inclusive, and February 12 through 15. A boarding pass alone will not turn those holiday dates into complimentary ski days. Check the dates against both the flight itinerary and the intended ticket redemption before putting a value on the benefit.
The airport matters too. Sun Peaks names Kelowna International Airport in its terms. Travelers should use the resort's published offer as the basis for planning, rather than assuming an arrival anywhere in British Columbia qualifies. The next-day option is useful precisely because the journey does not end when the aircraft reaches the gate.
SnowBrains' October 28 roundup identifies nine participating mountains across the wider Alpine Getaways program. Alongside Sun Peaks, it lists Alyeska, Arctic Valley, Eaglecrest, Bogus Basin, Schweitzer, Jackson Hole, Crystal Mountain and Palisades Tahoe. The benefits vary by destination, and the presence of a resort on that list does not mean every passenger receives the same free full-day ticket.
For someone comparing destinations, the practical question is how much usable skiing an offer adds to the trip. A same-day benefit can be hard to use after an afternoon landing, baggage collection and a transfer. At Sun Peaks, the following-day option reduces that scheduling pressure, although it does not remove the need to check operating conditions and the promotion's restrictions.
Compare airfare, transportation and the remaining lift-ticket cost together before choosing a route for the perk. Travelers who already hold mountain access should also check whether the benefit adds anything to their plans. Our Sun Peaks guide provides the resort context for deciding whether this particular flight-and-ski combination fits the winter trip you want.
