Ski news: Monarch Brings Back Its Four-Pack Today, With a Catch for Weekend Skiers

Monarch Mountain is offering four transferable lift tickets for $289 in an online flash sale today, October 21. The catch for weekend travelers is the calendar: every Saturday is blacked out, along with several holiday dates during the 2026-27 season.

The package works out to $72.25 per ticket when all four are used. Unlike a pass tied to one skier, the four-pack can be shared, giving a household or group of friends a way to buy a small pool of ski days without each person committing to a season pass.

The dates decide the value

Monarch's official ticket page lists the exclusions as all Saturdays, December 26, 2026, through January 3, 2027, January 17 and February 14. Those restrictions remove the main Christmas and New Year holiday stretch and two additional Sundays that may otherwise look attractive for a long weekend.

The online price is $289. The same page also advertises a $259 four-pack at in-person sales events, so shoppers should distinguish the two channels when comparing an advertisement with the checkout total. Today's online offer is specifically a one-day sale.

Tickets are valid only at Monarch and cannot move into a later winter. The resort says the package is nonrefundable, cannot be resold and loses any unused tickets when the season ends. Sharing with friends or family is therefore different from buying tickets with the intention of selling them later.

Count usable days before buying

For a Sunday outing outside the listed holiday exclusions, the four-pack may fit a short group trip. For someone whose available skiing is almost entirely on Saturdays, the price per ticket is beside the point. Start with the dates everyone can attend, then check those dates against the restrictions before deciding how many packages to buy.

A group should also decide how it will divide the tickets. Four possible visits on a calendar are more useful than four hopeful promises to get away sometime this winter. Because unused tickets expire, leaving one behind increases the effective price of the ski days that actually happen.

Visitors assembling a longer Colorado trip should budget separately for lodging, transportation and any equipment or instruction they need. A lift-ticket sale resolves one part of the cost, while the rest of the itinerary still determines whether the trip fits.
