Ski news: Killington Reveals Its World Cup Music Lineup, With Different Rules for Friday

Killington Resort has announced The Revivalists, Dillon Francis, Aluna and Congress The Band for its November 27-29 World Cup weekend. The useful wrinkle for visitors is admission: Friday's festivities require no ticket, while Saturday and Sunday require one for the festival village, concerts and race-viewing areas.

The Vermont resort released the entertainment program on October 20, giving Thanksgiving travelers a clearer reason to choose particular days. This is a music schedule built around women's alpine racing, so the performances fall at different points in the program rather than forming a separate evening concert series.

Congress The Band plays Friday alongside the athlete bib draw and fireworks. Aluna performs between Saturday's giant slalom runs, with The Revivalists following the second run. Dillon Francis plays between Sunday's slalom runs. Advance general admission is listed at $10; grandstand and VIP admission are separate options.

Choose the day before choosing the ticket

For a family already spending Thanksgiving nearby, Friday offers a way to join the event without buying admission for the race days. Visitors coming specifically for one of the weekend artists should check which day that performer appears and select admission accordingly. The word concert does not mean every performance happens after the skiing competition is over.

That timing also changes how to plan the rest of a mountain visit. Trying to combine personal ski laps, race spectating and a particular set calls for more care than arriving for an evening show. Allow time to move between activities, and check the final event information before committing to an itinerary that depends on a tight handoff.

Accommodation and event admission should be compared as separate parts of the trip budget. A festival ticket describes entry to the listed event areas; travelers should separately confirm anything they need for their own skiing. The announced entertainment program alone does not establish which public ski terrain will be available during Thanksgiving weekend.

The new lineup is particularly useful for groups with different interests. Race fans can organize the day around competition, while music fans can identify the performance they most want to catch. Agreeing on that priority before booking can avoid paying for a day that misses the main reason for the visit.
